“I intend to share the best of these (never before published) stills, these particular ones feature the shooting of Mal Reese’s (John Vernon’s) death scene. In the scene, Walker drags Reese outside onto his patio holding him in a bedsheet. Reese panics, lets go of the sheet, hits the wall and falls to his death. As you can see, the exterior of Mal Reese’s penthouse was shot on a soundstage. Vernon (in his first major role) was somewhat intimated by Lee Marvin, at one point during a rehearsal Marvin punched Vernon so hard in the stomach, Vernon started to cry and said ‘I am an actor, not a fighter!’” —the edit room floor, unseen photos from Point Blank part 8
